In September 2025, the second edition of the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano (FXAPM) took place, where we welcomed artisans from 22 states across 141 stands, all of whom amazed us with their pieces.
At the end of the event, we published a book that now serves as a lasting memory, bringing together the stories of the people who preserve our traditions day after day. Through its pages, readers are taken on a journey through the richness of folk art, tradition, and the stories behind each piece.
Each artisan receives a copy of the book. We love seeing how happily they receive it and share photos with us from their homes or workshops. Here are some of the photos they have sent us, while we tell you a little about what you will find in its pages.

In the images (from left to right and from top to bottom) we see Isaías Jiménez, Horacio Gavito and Juana Gómez, artisans participating in the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano 2025.
In each semblance, we learn a bit about their story, how many generations came before them, the techniques some have helped preserve, and some of the awards they have won.
Heritage lives in the knowledge they pass on through their hands as they create and represent the world around them. Every stitch, carving, molding, and brushstroke is a portrait of their surroundings.
The Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano book is a living testament to Mexico’s cultural richness and to the people who preserve it every day. Through its pages, it builds a journey into the richness of folk art and the stories lived behind each piece. More than a showcase of works, the book invites us to understand the human, historical, and symbolic value held within every creation.
The FXAPM brings together not only great masters, but also those who have inherited that knowledge, artisans of different ages sharing their wisdom, from 21-year-olds to women and men masters aged 85. It is a tribute to knowledge, cultural identity, and the hands that keep tradition alive. Folk art is not merely a decorative object, but a testament to history, resilience, and community.
The book allows us to appreciate the winning pieces from the competition, which features four categories: Ceramics, Wood, Textiles, and Other Techniques, where each participating artisan showcases their creativity, knowledge, and offers true works of art.
In this edition of the competition, we also included the guest category Virgin of Guadalupe, where we received more than 90 entries, and here you will find photos of the winning pieces.

Throughout the four days of the FXAPM, we held conferences on a variety of topics, as well as fashion shows and live demonstrations. In the book, you will find a record of these activities.
Each year, the artisans will rotate, so it will not always be the same participants. In the directory at the end of the book, you will find the contact information for everyone who has taken part.
Sign up on the official website, www.feriaxcaretartepopular.com, and you will receive the digital version.
If you would like the printed edition, you can purchase it on your next visit to Xcaret.
Remember, the next edition of the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano will take place from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Parque Xcaret.
